Map Info: Der Riese

Der Riese is a lot of gamers favorite zombie map. Just because of its classic feel and its introduction to the Pack-A-Punch machine. This map also was the first map to have a major easter egg, the Fly Trap. Even though this map can get extremely hard at high rounds, it still provides hours of fun. Der Riese or "The Giant" in German is a Nazi German weapon factory. It was also the working grounds of Group 935. Group 935 were trying to create the supersoldier by using element 115, which re animates dead cells or transforming the subject it is applied to a zombie. (Obviously not in real life, only in the video game world) Group 935 failed, and somewhere along the way something happened to cause the zombies to be created at a very fast rate. Thus causing a outbreak. And that's how Der Riese happened. Now Tank Dempsey, Nikolai Belinski, Takeo Maskai, And Edward Richtofen return in this map to slay the undead once again.

Pros and Cons on Wonder Weapons: The Wunderwaffe DG-2 Edition

The Wunderwaffe DG-2 was first introduced in Call of Duty World at War's famous game mode, Nazi Zombies. It was only obtainable from the Mystery box in Shi-No-Numa and Der Riese. That was the case until Call of the Dead came to the surface. In Call of the Dead (Or CotD), you can get the Wunderwaffe through completing the Original Characters Trapped Easter Egg.

Pros: Standard (Or straight from the box) it can kill up to 10 zombies in a chain reaction with 1 shot!
Pack-A-Punched it can kill a whopping 24 zombies with 1 bolt! (World At War only. In Black Ops, it stays at 10)
Despite its large size, this gun is quite light.
It is easy to hip-fire with due to the fact that the crosshairs don't move it all.
It will always be a one shot kill.

Cons: Low ammo reserve.
The player can get electrocuted if fired too close to a zombie. (Removed in Black Ops)
Slow reload without Speed Cola. (6 seconds)
Every shot has to count. If a shot is missed it can be a drag because you wasted a shot from a gun that doesn't have a lot of ammo in the first place.
If a zombie is killed by the Wunderwaffe, it does will not drop a power up.

The Wunderwaffe DG-2 is a steal at only 950 points, but be careful while using it.

Nazi Zombie Map Help: Kino Der Toten

This is a short FAQ that I compiled from people asking me questions about the map Kino Der Toten.

Q: What door is better to open? (From the starting room) The top by the M14, or the bottom?

A: Either way is good depending on what strategy you are going to use. I run the classic "Rape Train" strategy. If you are going to use this strategy, then I suggest going up top.

Q: I have an RPK and a Ray Gun, and I get a Thundergun from the box. Should I just leave it or should I take it? And if so, what weapon should I swap out?

A: In my opinion you should swap out the Ray Gun for the Thundergun. If you have the Ray Gun and Thundergun in a map like Kino, you will need to be in co-op. You need a gun that doesn't have splash damage, splash damage is the reason I go down a lot because you get hurt from the weapon damage. The RPK should be you primary weapon and have the Thundergun as a back up when you need it.

Q: What should I buy first? Jugger-nog or PaP (Pack a Punch) a weapon?

A: Well that depends. If you have a great team to back you up while you get the points to get PaP then sure. But I suggest buy Jugger-nog first. That way you won't go down as often as you would without it.

Pros and Cons About the Famous Wonder Weapons. The Ray Gun Edition!

The Ray Gun started off in W@W in Nacht Der Untoten. The Ray Gun was only possible to get through the Mystery Box. The Ray gun has appeared in all the zombie maps since then.

Ray Gun: Pros, Good for easy killing at early rounds. Great back up weapon. At the later rounds it will make crawlers easily. The splash damage will hurt and even sometimes kill zombies around what you are shooting at.
Cons, The splash damage can also hurt you (Unless you have PhD Flopper). The Porters X2 Ray Gun (Pack A Punched Ray Gun) doesn't get anyother upgrade other than getting the splash damage taken away. Even though at later rounds it is good at making crawlers, this can be a horrible thing because the crawlers get harder to see in the horde of zombies at the later rounds.

Even though the Ray Gun only cost 950 points, it is still a gamble whether to take it or not.
